ANCC Board of Directors Announces New Commissioner Appointments For 2024

Silver Spring, MD - Today, the Nominations Committee of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors has approved the following appointments and reappointments to its Commissions. All terms will run from January 1, 2024, until December 31, 2027.
Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (COA-PTP)
- Melinda Cooling, DNP, MBA, APRN, NEA-BC, representing a Nurse Advance Practice Provider, Director or Vice President of Advance Practice Providers of an Acute Setting for a second four-year term of service.
Commission on Magnet® (COM)
- Richard Evans, MA, representing a Non-Nurse/Public Member, for a second four-year term of service.
- Sebastian Dienst, Diplom Pflegewirt, representing the International constituency, for an initial four-year term of service.
Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE)
- Rodney Hauch, DNP, RN, PCCN, representing the Staff Nurse constituency, for a second four-year term of service.
- Margo Brooks Carthon, PhD, RN, representing Research, for an initial four-year term of service.
- Marvin Jones, MPA, CFAAMA, Certified DEI Practitioner, ICF-trained Certified Professional Coach, representing a Non-Nurse/Public Member, for an initial four-year term of service.
The Nominations Committee is holding a second call for qualified commission member nominees for appointment seats to the Commission on Accreditation in Nursing Continuing Professional Development (COA-NCPD).
